The BSU Feminists for Action’s Pro-Roe celebration table was a success!
While we got several nasty looks from apparent anti-choicers, the number of positive table-approaches greatly outnumbered the antis!
Some highlights:
- One anti-choicer accused me of demeaning men by suggesting that the pregnant person in a relationship has a greater emotional investment than a non-pregnant partner.
- Another anti-choicer made herself cry while recounting the tale of how her father’s ex-girlfriend had an abortion and “That was MY brother or sister.” I felt sympathy for her, but not badly enough to relinquish my and every other potentially pregnant person’s rights.
- We were interviewed by the
FailyDaily News! No word back on how badly we were misquoted. (Or how creatively my surname may be spelled).For anyone who wanted the materials we distributed:

Our Roe v. Wade demonstration went great. Now if only my dad would stop commenting on my Facebook picture of it, all would be well.
