Mr Gnome, puffy and red but now featuring color. It’s my first color piece and now I’ve got the bug and want more.

I forgot to take good pictures before I wrapped them, but check out the cross stitched iPhone cases I made for my mom and my sister! My sister’s crazy about matryoshkas and my mom loves gnomes.
I stitched them freehand, too—no patterns at all. Sometimes I really rock at crafts.
In other news, here’s the drawing my tattoo artist sent me that he did based on my original request for my first tattoo. I really love it!
I’m going to send him a couple of pictures of knitting needles and knitting and have him work a little more on the knitting part to make it a little more realistic. I’m also not sure about the flower thing behind it so I’ll have him rework that too. I might have him do some toadstools (traditional gnome imagery) with it instead.
(I’m kind of a perfectionist with my designs and I always feel like a dick asking artists re-do things, but, oh well.)
but all in all I’m really excited to get it. Unfortunately I won’t be able to get it until I get a job and have some disposable income. But I have some job prospects on the horizon, so hopefully soon.

I’ve blogged recently about wanting a gnome tattoo and a knitting tattoo, and I recently considered combining them.
Definitely going to show this to my artist and see if he can put his own spin on this.
