Mr Gnome, puffy and red but now featuring color. It’s my first color piece and now I’ve got the bug and want more.
Placement. Featuring silly derby shorts.

I just downloaded the free pattern. Look at this fantastic piece of art. The pattern looks extremely difficult, but I’m going to do my best to make it for my sister, who has requested knitted coffee cup cozies the past few years for Christmas. Last year the one I made for her was kind of mediocre and I really want to make something awesome for her this year.
I got this Yuko Shimizu Illustration, because not only do I admire her artwork, but this tattoo represents my love for knitting and crocheting. I got it done at Outer Limits in Costa Mesa, Ca by Shorty. It’s always fun getting tatted!!
I love this.

KNIT NIGHT CUPCAKES!!!
This is why I need to know how to knit things.
I’ll trade you knitting lessons for cupcakes any day, bb!
But I’ve always thought these cupcakes would look so much better with a different color base icing—it looks like pretty knits perched on piles of poo.

Free Ravelry Patter for Norman the Doorman Knitted Gnome. A few years ago I lived in Germany and developed a love/hate thing for gnomes, but eventually they grew on me. This gnome is large - over a foot tall. You can get a free account at Ravelry but to see the project here is the link.
Norman the Doorman is a super-sized Gnome for your Home, inspired by Raynor Gellatly’s Travelling Gnome, with a few differences - Normie is knit in the round from the bottom up, is almost 9” tall, and 15” round, and unlike the Travelling Gnome, Normie is no world traveler. In fact, he is the ultimate home body, guaranteed to stand guard at your door until the cows come home. So grab some indestructible acrylic yarn and get your gnome on.
I think that this little guy needs to be knitted and come live at Frida B’s and my new apartment.
All of the knitting projects I’m working on right now (infinity scarf, sweater vest, t-shirt yarn rug) I’ve either irreversibly messed up, don’t have enough of the right yarn, or am bored with.
I’m going to put them all away and start on a pair of simple, striped, top-down socks. Something calming and simple.

Except I need to learn how to make a pom pom that isn’t craplousy and/or doesn’t fall apart when you touch it.
